Frequently asked questions

Confidence begins with clear answers.

If anything remains unclear, contact us before applying. We would rather answer carefully than rush a family into the wrong decision.

How does Monarch Tales work?

You begin with a short application. We review whether your requested story fits the Founding Families collection, our current production capacity and supported delivery. Accepted families receive the scope, expected batch and private onboarding instructions before any payment.

What makes a Monarch Tale different?

The story is shaped around personality, relationships, family dynamics, real memories, routines, traditions, favourite things and the emotional message you want the child to carry. It is not a standard story with a name inserted.

Who writes and creates the books?

Every commission receives human creative direction from Monarch Tales. Modern creative tools may assist parts of production, but the story, emotional direction, editing, character decisions and quality control are guided by a person—not released automatically.

Can siblings or twins appear together?

Yes. A Monarch Tale can centre siblings or twins together and preserve the distinct personality of each child. The application should tell us who needs to be central to the story.

How many photographs are required?

Exact guidance is provided after acceptance. Clear, recent reference photographs from a few useful angles generally help establish the character direction. Detailed story information is not requested in the public application.

Will characters look exactly like our photographs?

No exact portrait guarantee is made. Characters are carefully created storybook interpretations inspired by your photographs. You approve the initial direction before scene production begins.

Can faith be included?

Yes, when requested. Faith can be woven naturally into family routines, values, prayers or the emotional message of the story, rather than added generically.

What reviews and corrections are included?

One consolidated story-review round and two consolidated illustration-correction rounds are included. Feedback must be gathered into one response for each round. A complete character redesign after approval or rebuilding approved chapters is outside the included scope.

How long will my book take?

Accepted families receive an expected production batch before onboarding. Production is intentionally limited to one or two active families at first. The detailed schedule is confirmed privately because application volume and approval speed can affect timing.

How does payment work?

No payment is taken during the public application. Accepted families receive an invoice and private onboarding information. A deposit secures the confirmed production place, with the final balance due before printing.

Where is delivery supported?

The Founding Families prices cover standard shipping where supported in Australia, the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. Availability is confirmed before onboarding. Remote or exceptional locations may require separate confirmation.

How are children's information and photographs handled?

Information is collected only for application review and story production. Public use of testimonials, photographs or finished work requires separate permission. Please read the policies page for the current privacy details before applying.

Does an application guarantee acceptance?

No. Applications are reviewed for product fit, current capacity and delivery availability. A thoughtful decline or waitlist invitation is possible, and no payment is required to apply.
